It's Official!!!!

Friends, we are beyond excited to officially announce that we have been accepted to go to Y.W.A.M.‘s University of Nations in Kona, Hi in September to receive missionary training through their Discipleship Training School (D.T.S.)! This means the Spencer Family is indeed moving....to HAWAII!!! haha... we know, we know, what a tough “missional call”. lol... don’t hate. It’s just for school as of right now.

In the beginning...

Hoooowwww do we even begin?! It's hard to put into words what God has been doing in our lives individually, as a couple, and as a family this past year. I'm sure many of you can say the same as 2020 was one of the craziest if not the craziest year of our lives. For us, it was a wakeup call. It began a season of repentance, reconciliation, and restoration that changed our lives, literally. Jordan and I have been working in the ministry field of REALiFE Church for seven years now. SEVEN YEARS, whhhaattt?! Haha! Jordan has been the Associate Pastor for three years and we have been serving together as the worship leaders for two. These past seven years God has moved in us, changed us, rearranged us, and come after us in such beautifully wild and loving ways. God strategically and wonderfully orchestrated every single part that led to this very moment in our lives.

This past summer was spent waking up before the sun rose, pouring our coffees together, sitting on our porch reading our Bibles and spending time talking about any struggles that we were experiencing as well as the overflow of goodness and grace in the times we feel pressed. We would spend an hour or two together as the sun rose until we heard little foot steps wandering out the squeaky screen door onto the front porch. We pushed those morning times as long as we could until we heard the words, "I'm hungry, Daddy! Can you get me some breakfast?!" We will cherish those moments for the rest of our lives as God was sowing into us both individually and together as a couple.

We felt the initial call from God to "go" in the fall of 2020 and began to pray hard and started an exciting dialogue with the Lord and each other about who, what, where, and when... we didn’t need the answer to “why?“ because we already knew the why - Jesus.

As we continue forward faithfully we will keep you all in the know as to where we are with answering all of the other questions listed above. We are so excited to begin this journey and we will continue to blog, vlog, and post about our adventure, our fellowship, our “quest” that we are embarking on... thank you for your support and please pray for our family during this time of transition and beyond, and also we ask you to prayerfully converse with God about partnering with us financially.
